A color shifts.

Matter changes.

The gaze follows a form
and finds itself elsewhere.

I begin to create the work.

But I do not want to be the one to finish it.

I want it to continue
in the eyes of the beholder.

THAT'S HOW
ANOTHER STORY BEGINS

One day, someone
looks at a piece of mine
and thinks:

“This is the one.”
They take it home.

And from that moment on,
it will be there,
as life unfolds.

You will see people arrive,
children grow,
mornings begin,
dinners end,
years pass.

And it will still be you.

But you will no longer
be the same.

Maybe, somewhere,
yours is already out there.

AND WHAT IF
IT DIDN'T EXIST YET?

Sometimes, a work begins
with a story.

With a memory.
With a place.
With a person.

With a color that, to someone, means
much more than just a color.

You tell me where to start.

I listen.
I imagine.
I begin.

And then we leave some room
for what we do not yet know.

That is how a work comes to be—one that did not exist before.
